Why Not A Female or African Pope?
For thousands of years now, white old men have been elected pope, and I think it’s time for a change because there is nowhere in the bible that says a pope has to be a white old man. The bible also doesn’t say that a woman cannot be pope. If a woman or an African man can’t be elected pope, then they shouldn’t even be allowed to have any position in the church at all, but that obviously changed because time comes with change, and time changes people. People want change, so why not elect a black or female pope? I really don’t see what the problem is. When a woman becomes a wife and let alone a mother, she basically runs the house, why not let a woman run the House of God? Almost all people now accept what black people went through during the days of slavery and colonisation. Why doesn’t the church elect a black cardinal to be pope and run the House of God? Here is one thing that I have never understood, yes we all come from our father. Still, it is our mother who goes through the suffering to give birth to us, and yet if we are born a boy, we will grow up and not let her have any power in politics or have any rights to her body; and this is considered legal. There is no proof at all that Mary Magdalen was ever impregnated by god… at all, and if there is, it has not been shared with the public. People want change, but they keep doing the same thing. If the world wants change, the church can at least elect an African cardinal to be pope, or choose a woman bishop, and then to be a cardinal (since there are no female cardinals), and then to be pope and run the so-called House of God.
