The Stigma Around Learning Differences

This week I wanted to share some articles about the stigmas around learning differences. They each have a unique story/perspective and offer some insight into why it is so important to end these stigmas. Differences are just differences, there is nothing inherently wrong with them.

A Scottish Tory had tweeted that there was a link between trans people and people with learning differences. 

The Liberty School in Durango, Colorado set up a simulation so people can see what it’s like to have learning differences.

MSUToday writes an article about how the workplace can change their stigma around people with learning differences to make it better.

Angela Hassiots who is a Professor of Psychiatry of Intellectual Disability at University College London helps care for the mental health of people with learning differences.
