Sister Wives
There is a show on Netflix called SisterWives about a polygamous family that is about one man, Kody Brown and his four wives. I wanted to watch the show from the beginning when Fabiola did not. However, I started showing her segments of the show, and then she got hooked. Now, she watches the show more than I do. For those of you who don’t know what polygamy is, it is a “plural marriage,” which is the practice of being married to more than one person at the same time.” The definition says that it is the practice of being married to more than one person at a time, but in reality, it is a man being married to more than one woman. Then there is actually something called Polyandry, where a woman is married to multiple men. I was fascinated by the biology of this way of life by watching one man being married to multiple women, I don’t know if I could handle that. The main character of the show is Kody Brown, whose parents are polygamous, and his father has two wives.
Kody had been married for more than a decade to three wives, but then he started to date, or as the Mormons call it, to court a fourth wife. The term courting is a little more serious than dating because when you are dating, you are dating; anything could happen. However, when you court a woman, you court a woman to marry her. After courting his fourth wife, Robyn, for some time, they got married. She has three children from another marriage, two daughters and a son, and it turns out that her son, Dayton, has Aspergers. I think interviewing Robyn, his mom, would be very, very interesting. He talks about his Aspergers in season seven. People like him should go to InqludedU.com.
