Paying More Attention To Our Dog Luna

After our dog, Teddy, unexpectedly passed away, we started paying more attention to our other dog, Luna, not that we hadn’t paid any attention to her before. It’s funny and natural not only to be sad when a person or pet you loved dies, but also to start to be around the other person or pet that you love more than you did before. We are spending more time with our dog, Luna, who is a Maltipoo —a crossbreed of Maltese and Poodle. The minute we came home from the hospital, we both went right to Luna and talked to her about what had happened as if she were human. Dogs are very smart, and she noticed that we didn’t come back home with her brother. At first, she was happy because she saw us, but then she already started to get lethargic when she realized that Teddy wasn’t there. After a few days, I think she knew that she would never see her brother ever again, and she stopped eating for a while. However, showing her much more love and even letting her sleep in our bed with us for a few days and playing with her more, she went back to her old self.
