Our planet is F#%$ed, but you can help fix it. Here are 7 ideas to save it:
Trees: To start, everyone on this planet can plant a tree, and those who have more resources can plant at least five trees. There are 8 BILLION PEOPLE on this planet so one person planting one tree would mean 8 BILLION TREES. Multiply that by 5, and that’s 40 BILLION TREES. Trees are the easiest way for CARBON CAPTURE, which is something we must become focused on or we won’t have a planet.
Lazarus Towers: I have an idea that would be a multi-million dollar project. However, it just might save the world, if of course you do it that right way. That idea is building a carbon capture tower that I would call the Lazarus Towers. My goal would be to have them made out of nothing but carbon capture fans from recyclable material and they would be 7 stories high. There would be at least one if not two of these towers in every state in America, in every country, on every island and every province in the world, no matter how poor of a country. If there’s a will, there's a way. Hopefully, nanotechnology will quickly catch up with the technology of the towers to make the fans so small that every government would have the power to make it mandatory for them to be next to every battery of every non-electric car, so they would actually be sucking up carbon dioxide from cars, trucks and boats. I would also put at least one fan on all offshore oil rigs, and eventually my Lazarus Towers would be small enough and quiet enough where EVERY HOMEOWNER would have a small carbon capture fan or Lazarus Tower in their backyards, just like a solar panel. If I had the power, I would make it mandatory for at least EVERY HOTEL to have one of my small towers in their parking lot or somewhere on their property.
Wine Bottles: If we got wine companies to stop producing that fancy piece of plastic around the necks of their bottles, that would be a huge savings in the companies energy of making that piece of plastic. Also, as fancy as wine bottle openers can be these days, we don’t need them. ALL WE NEED ARE RECYCLABLE SCREW ON AND OFF TOPS FOR WINE BOTTLES.
Wireless Charging: Why don’t we have wireless charging yet? Think about all of the wires we would get rid of. All you would have to do is install a chip in all buildings and homes, and run it just like Wi-Fi. And don’t worry big companies, all of you out there will still be able to make money! Because I know that’s what most of you guys only care about anyways!
Community Service: There is so much trash just laying around it’s beyond sad to see how people just don’t care about their environment. Well behaved criminals around the world need to go out with guards and pick up all the damn trash. Also, why don’t we build robots to pick up trash on highways and in neighborhoods? We have trash trucks, why don’t we have trashbots?
Print Newspapers and Magazines: Sorry dad, but we really don’t even need print newspapers anymore. They waste so much paper, and therefore kill so many trees it’s not even funny. The same goes for magazines. Just imagine how many trees we would save if we got rid of all the newspapers and magazines in the world, and made all content digital?
Houses: One thing that really drives me crazy is that I remember when I used to take the train from D.C. to New York all the time. It would go by some of the poorest neighborhoods. One thing I realized is that we don’t need to be building new houses, especially these palatial homes just to show off our money. What construction companies need to be doing is fixing old houses up instead of cutting down more trees to build new homes. Also, when you tear down a home that is still okay, then you are wasting a lot of materials, and in some cases just leaving a pile of rubble for no reason at all.
