Founder of My Life My Choice Gets Made An MBE
A British man named Michael Edwards was recently honored at Windsor Castle in England for founding a charity called My Life My Choice back in 1998. He was recognized at the castle at a ceremony on Tuesday in Berkshire. For Americans who may not know, in England, MBE stands for Member of the Order of the British Empire, which is a chivalric order that was established in 1917. Member is the lowest grade and the highest grade is Knight Grand Cross for men and Dame Grand Cross for Women. This is what I like to see, people who help other people with disabilities actually get recognized in some way. I wished his family well, especially him, the King, and the Queen. I wish them well for Christmas. To learn more about Michael, click here: My Life My Choice. His charity is a self-advocacy organization for adults with learning differences. It has an experienced team of consultants that provide various professional services, including consultancy, training, easy reading, and research. They also have projects that help people with disabilities gain new skills, meet new people, and live fulfilled lives.
