Dyslexia in Jamaica
I am in Jamaica with my family, my mom, wife, and stepdaughter Khloe, so I thought it would be a good idea to take advantage of this time and write about dyslexia in Jamaica. According to the article, Dyslexia Children in Jamaica Need More Support: Guest Blog Post by Wayne Campbell, 17% of the population on the island have dyslexia. I did some research on dyslexia in Jamaica, and the one thing that I realized is it doesn’t matter where you are in the world. The research on dyslexia is going to be the same. The only difference is that certain countries may not have the right resources to diagnose children with dyslexia. However, if you do have the right tools, then you can get your child diagnosed at around 11 years old; the earlier they are diagnosed, the better.
