The United States was founded on one partial sentence if you really think about it… We The People. We The People, meaning everybody that is a citizen of the United States of America is equal; at least that’s the ideology behind it. We are more of a right-isle country than we are of a left-isle country. The only problem with democracy is that it is also hypocrisy; those words are unfortunately very closely related to each other. According to Wikipedia the origin of democracy is Greek definition is the following: “Democracys (Greek demokratia, from demos ‘people; and kratos rule) is a form of government in which the people have authority to deliberate and decide legislation (“direct democracy”), or to choose governing official to do so (“represent democracy”). According to Wikipedia the definition of hypocrisy is as follows: Hypocrisy is the engaging in the same behavior or activity for which one criticizes another or the practice of claiming to have moral Stanford or beliefs to which one’s own behavior does not conform. In moral psychology, it is the failure to follow one’s one express moral rules and principles. According to British political philosopher David Runciman, “Other kinds of hypocritical deception include claims to knowledge that one lakh, claims to a consistency that one cannot sustain, claims to a loyalty that one does not possess, claims to an identity that one does not hold. American political journalist Michael Gerson says that political hypocrisy is “the conscious use of a mask to fool the public and gain political benefit.”
If America is all about being equal then why are still arguing that the women still cannot choose to do what they want with their body… in 2021. This is something that I have never comprehended before in my life and to me is one of the biggest forms of hypocrisy. Most fathers tell their sons to always treat a woman with the utmost respect, yet if they go into the government or become lawyers and judges, then for some reason that silver lining changes. What is it about the government that makes them feel that they are privileged, especially if they are white and come from a well connected family.? If we are equal then a woman should have the right to choose what they want to do with their body. If a woman or yet a girl was raped and is old enough to have an abortion, and feel that she is not ready to raise a child, then it would be better for her sake and the sake of humanity for that girl or woman to have an abortion. The main problem for the American culture to not be able to solve this mathematical formula is because there are more male judges and lawyers than there are females.
When the United States Declaration was written, it was written by a very wealthy powerful white man and only wealthy white men reviewed what Thomas Jefferson had written. They never stopped to show it to any slaves to see what they thought about it, who were brought here against their own will. If the founding fathers had done that, we would have been living very differently today. There would have been more people of color in politics and even on TV, not just on TV. I’m not talking about tv shows in general but I’m also talking about Hollywood and even the tv commercials. It’s funny that people say TV use to be in black and white 60 years ago, but there was nothing black about it, it was white and dark shades of grey. Speaking of people of color, another thing that I have noticed about this so-called “United States of America” is that this country is supposed to be an asylum for all.
According to Wikipedia “Asylum in the United States has three basic requirements. First, asylum applicants must not be convicted of a particularly serious crime or an aggravated felony. Second, they must show a well-founded fear of persecution in their country of nationality and permanent residency. Third, asylum applicants must prove that they would be prosecuted on account of at least one of five protected grounds: race, religion, national political opinion or particular social group.” Last summer we saw a caravan of Hatian people coming to the United States of America because they saw how the environment can affect people's lives for the worse, but they were all turned away. Government needs to add a fourth basic requirement: asylum applicants must show a well-founded fear of environmental depletion.
