ADA Section 504 Lawsuit
I have been conducting research on the 504 lawsuit, which addresses expanding the definition of a disability and determining who is eligible to live under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). On page 5, section III The of The Rehabilitation Act and ADA share a definition of "disability:" “The Americans with Disabilities Act define “disability” (1) as an individual with “a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities of such individual;” (2) “a record of such an impairment;” (3) “being regarded as having such an impairment.” It is hypocritical and ludicrous for Congress to write the Americans with Disabilities Act, to sign it, to add on to it, and then to ignore some of the people who need it. America is a country where we are all created equal, regardless of our thoughts, as long as we are not harming others. The irony in this expansion of the ADA is that there are members in Congress who fit this description; they should be ashamed of themselves.
